Each levels of Reactor Laser Shield reduces Reactors laser damage by 7.5, which due to how Nova Raider manage decimals, may result in an actual decrease of 7 or 8, according to the table of Reactor Lasers.
This research is used to reduce the counter-attack potential of Reactors, as their lasers fire for every time a player or its possible minions attacks them. The research increase the protection of both the player and its possible minions
Lasers always deal a minimum of 5 damage points no matter how high Reactor Laser Shield levels are
Reactor Laser Shield function by removing its levels to the levels of the Reactor owner's Reactor Laser
Exemple: The owner of the Reactor has 6 Reactor Lasers levels, dealing 45 damage.
- If the player attacking the Reactor has 1 Reactor Laser Shield, the Reactor will deal damage like it has 5 levels of Reactor Lasers, thus dealing 38 instead 45
- If the player attacking the Reactor has 3 Reactor Laser Shield, the Reactor will deal damage like it has 3 levels of Reactor Lasers, thus dealing 22 instead 45
